First I explore a bit the surroundings of King's Cross and discover the british library is nearby. I visit it shortly but leave the building as it is such a sunny day outside.

I go to Greenwich where I buy some food which I then eat on a bench in front of the naval museum. Then I walk up to the observatory. Everybody takes pictures on the marking of the null meridian. I try to take a picture together with the display of my phone which has an embedded GPS receiver. But the display comes out too dark and I have to cut into the picture another one taken from the display alone.

I visit the observatory museum. Though there is no fee you need to get a ticket. I presume this is so that the person giving you the ticket has the opportunity to ask you if you want to buy a museum guide for GBP 3.50. I spend a long time in the museum and in the park from which one has a good view over London.

I go back to the north of the thames and walk along the river for quite some time until arriving at the millenium bridge. There I take a rest just opposite to Tate Modern.

On the way to the next tube station I see St. Pauls cathedral in front of me. But somerhing is strange... ah the lower part is only a drawing. The cathedral is in part covered presumably because they are doing some restauration work.
