If the weather forcast for Switzerland Urs sent me by SMS is right, than today it was colder in Sydney than in Switzerland. It rained and temperature sunk to 16 degrees celsius. evertheless I did what I had planned to do, take the Parramatta river ferry up to the endpoint Parramatta.
Not everything went as planned. First at Circular Quai I would have had to wait 3/4 hour until departure. Looking at the ferry map I figured out I could take another ferry departing half an hour earlier to McMahons Point and catch the Parramatta ferry there.
I must have viewed he map wrongly, because once there I discovered, that the Parramatta ferry would not stop here. So I could only take another ferry back to Circular Quai. Of course all this took me more than 3/4 hour so the ferry I wanted to catch originally had departed in the meantime and I would need to wait another 40 minutes. This time I waited in a nearby Café.
I catched the right ferry, which brought me to Parramatta. There I walked around in the center where it has a lot of shops and several smaller malls. In the food court of one of the malls I eat something and in another one a set in a Café todrink another hot chocolate. Then I returned to Circular Quai with the next ferry.
Then my next error. Because of the bad weather I wanted to take a bus and thought, all bus will go up George street up at least to the level of my hotel, before they would split into different directions. So I hopped into the first one I could catch which pretty soon deviated from George street and headed to Star City near Darling Harbour. Furthermore after deviating it did not sop for a least two kilometers.
So again I landed at a place I did not want to be and had only the option of turning back. And again, it took quite a while until a bus in the opposite direction showed up.
At the hotel I found a notice, that the travel documents were ready. So I walked, now I avoided all busses, back to the CounryLink Travel Agency in the Town Hall station, were the documents were given to me.
To continue with todays forth and back moves, I went back to hotel to take a shower then returned to Town Hall were I would meet Daniel. For my last day in Sydney we wanted to get dinner together, and we did in Stanley street, were the italian restaurants group.
